A cultural heritage that invites us to a journey into the past with every archaeological site, indicating every now and then different almost magical characteristics of the region; the Cueva Pintada (painted cave), the Cenobio de Valerón (monastery of Valerón), the Necrópolis de La Guancha o Birbique (burial place of Guancha or Birbique).

A cultural heritage full of ethnological values, preserving traditions and customs of a proud and hard-working people. The mills or the quarries with volcanic rock gives as insight into the past that does not date back very much and which is proudly protected by the North of Gran Canaria.
